Insignificant
By Kulkarni Venugopal
Every puncture
in the dark fabric of night
tells the story of
a ray of light that
fought off everything
in its way
to beam at us,
and make the tapestry
we admire every night.
Only when everything seems
So dark, So quiet, so cold, so
insignificant
Do these little lights reveal themselves
To urge you to do something
before they go out.
